Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Chennai enthusiastically held its Investiture Ceremony for the 2025–26 academic year on July 10. The event, celebrating student leadership, was graced by Dr. N. K. Senthamarai Kannan, IPS (Retd.), ADGP, Tamil Nadu, and a distinguished alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, as chief guest.
The ceremony began with Principal R.N. Sendhil Kumar’s welcome address, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership and responsibility. The core of the event was the formal investiture of the Students’ Council and House Appointees. Elected representatives from the four houses—Thillaiyadi Valliammai, Dheeran Chinnamalai, Maruthunayagam, and Velu Nachiyar—proudly pledged their commitment.
Dr. Senthamarai Kannan presented badges, administered the oath, and shared inspiring words from his own experience as a former School Captain, stressing commitment, integrity, and empathetic leadership. T. Yashwanth Kumar (School Captain, Boy) addressed the gathering confidently, pledging dedication. M.Sudharshana (School Captain, Girl) administered the oath to House Captains.
