How many of you are worried when you see a post of a missing special needs child? How many of you reach out to your mobile to forward the post to your other groups? How many of you wait nervously to know the whereabouts of the missing child?

Teenager Sarvajeet and his mother Deepa Krishnaprasad teamed up to design and make productive fashion jewellery. They have designed pendants and keychains with QR codes containing the name and mobile number of parents of children. For office goers and Senior citizens it can be name, address, mobile number of spouse, blood group and details of allergies. “It can be like an identity card, which would be helpful for any educated person / police to reach out to family, when a child or person is lost / missing,” says Deepa. “If anyone carrying this pendant or keychain falls down due to giddiness the onlookers can inform their family members. Similarly if the person wearing our designed pendants or carrying the keychain meets with some causality the hospital can know their blood group and the medicines to which they are allergic. This can save many lives.”

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
