Ma. Subramanian – State’s Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, inaugurated a park at 1st Cross Street, Besant Nagar, on Mar.1. The park, built on a narrow strip of waste land, boasts of not only a walking path, but also mini fountains, pool of fishes etc.
The park has been built at the cost of 13 lakhs and Councillor M.Radhika, Ward 174, sponsored lampposts, fountains etc., costing 2 lakhs. Also present at the inauguration were JMH Aassan Maulaana, MLA of Velachery constituency, Councillor Radhika and others.
