Kidzee Preschool, Kannappa Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, celebrated Ponal on Jan.11. The school was adorned with flowers. A small village setup featuring bullock carts, huts, and vibrant rangoli designs enhanced the festive atmosphere.

Children were dressed up in traditional attire. The carnival commenced with the preparation of sweet Pongal. Children engaged in the traditional method of preparing the dish, putting rice and jaggery into earthen clay pots, and offering it to the Sun God. Following this, the children performed Kummi Pattu and enacted role play highlighting the sun, farmers, and the significance of farming and food.
