On June 28, a heartfelt literary tribute, ‘Nadandhaay Vaazhi – Chitti, Thi.Ja’, was held at the Youth Hostel, Indira Nagar. The event honoured Tamil literary icons P.G. Sundararajan (Chitti) and T. Janakiraman (Thi.Ja).

Presided over by historian K.R.A. Narasaiah, the highlight was Tiruppur Krishnan’s engaging talk, sharing personal memories and insights into the lives and works of the two celebrated writers. Chitti S.Venugopalan welcomed the gathering while Karthik Sundar gave the vote of thanks. The event was attended by a discerning audience, in the likes of Subbu (of Dravida Mayai fame) Dharini Komal (of Komal theatres), and writer Indra Parthasarathy’s daughter, Padma and her husband.
