The Coasters of Rotary Club of Chennai ECR recently launched ‘HydroDrink’, a water purifier, to provide safe drinking water to 10 government schools along the ECR, benefiting over 1,200 students —a timely initiative to help students face the scorching summer heat.
As part of the launch water pledge and drawing competition on the theme ‘Save Water, Save Life’ was held in government schools at Kudumiyandi Thoppu and Thiruvanmiyur Kuppam. Students showcased their creativity and awareness, and cash prizes with certificates were awarded to the winners.
The event was inaugurated by Sholinganallur MLA Arvind Ramesh, with Rtn. Ajit Nair as guest of honour. Councillor Menaka Shankar and Community Services Director Rtn. Deepak Sanghi were also present to encourage the children and support the cause.
“Clean water is a right, not a privilege,” affirmed the club, marking HydroDrink as a vital step in ensuring hydration, dignity, and health for young learners this summer.
