Sishya OMR’s 2nd Edition of Model United Nations (SOMUN’25) was held with great enthusiasm recently. The two-day conference brought together young delegates from Grades 7 to 12 for intense debate, diplomacy, and collaboration, providing a crucial platform for global discourse and leadership skill refinement.
Delegates engaged in a variety of committees, addressing pressing global issues across diverse topics. These included Indian policy debates in AIPPM, worldwide challenges in UNGA, high-stakes crisis scenarios in JCC, real-time reporting by IP, explorations of historical justice in IMTFE, and critical human rights debates in UNHRC.
The competition was fierce, with delegates vying for prestigious awards such as Best Delegate, High Commendation, and Best Delegation. The conference concluded with the crafting of thought-provoking resolutions by these young minds, underscoring their capability to shape the future of diplomacy.
