Special Train Service for TATA Indian Premier League – 2024

In view of TATA Indian Premier League 2024 matches to be played at M.A.Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk, the following Passenger Specials will run between Velachery – Chintadripet – Velachery (after the completion of the match) on Mar.22 and 26.

The inaugural match will be played on Mar.22 between the reigning Champions Chennai Super Kings(CSK) and the Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB).

According to a press release from Southern Railway, 2 special passenger trains will run from Velachery to Chintadripet. The first train will depart from Velachery at 10.40 pm and will reach Chepauk at 11.08 pm; the second train will depart from Velachery and reach Chepauk at 11.05 pm and 11.33 pm respectively. 

On the Chintadripet – Velachery route, the two trains will start at Chintadripet at 11.20 pm and 11.45 pm; reach Chepauk at 11.30 pm and 11.55 pm and reach Velachery at 12.05 am and 12.30 am respectively.

The stations between the Velachery and Chintadripet include Perungudi, Tharamani, Thiruvanmiyur, Indira Nagar, Kasturba Nagar, Kotturpuram, Greenways Road, Mandaveli, Thirumayilai, Mundakakanni Amman Koil, LightHouse, Thiruvallikeni and Chepauk.
