In a unique celebration of India’s victory in the T20 World Cup, Aravind Tharunsri, a scuba diver from Karapakkam, Chennai, showcased his passion for diving and cricket by playing an impromptu cricket match at a depth of 50 feet beneath the waves of ECR Beach.
Equipped with scuba gear and accompanied by a small group of fellow divers, he set up an impromptu cricket match on the sandy seabed.
The underwater cricket match saw Tharunsri and his team adapting to the challenges of playing in an aquatic environment.
Tharunsri has been diving for several years and advocates for marine conservation. He is the Director, PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Master Instructor, diving Instructor for differently abled, skydiver, and paraglider at Temple Adventures.
His innovative celebration stands as a testament to the creativity and spirit of India’s cricket fans, resonating far beyond the shores of ECR Beach.
