Smasher Sports Academy’s Squash student Deepa Debiram is the new Sub-Junior Squash National Champion in the Girls U-11 Category. The 10-year-old played against the No:1 Seed player in a close 5 games encounter 11-5 11-4 5-11 7-11 and 11-6 in the final.
Deepa comes from a humble background and her family does not have the means to support her financially to play the sport. For the past three years, Smasher Sports Academy in Chennai has sponsored her squash instruction courses, sports gear (racket, shoes, and clothing), and tournament fees/travel.
