The 44th Rath Yatra festival, presented by ISKCON Chennai ECR Temple, took place on July 7. The ornately decorated Rath, embarked on its journey from Pallavakam ECR (near Reliance Superstore), making its way through Neelankarai, Vettuvankeni, and Injambakkam before reaching its final destination at Akkarai ISKCON Temple ECR.

The festival, a celebration of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Subhadra, drew crowds of devotees and onlookers, who lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the magnificent procession. The atmosphere was filled with joy, devotion, and the sound of Sankirtana as the Rath made its way through the bustling road.

“We had the incredible joy of celebrating the Ratha Yatra, where we pulled the grand chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Subhadra through the streets. This isn’t just a festival; it’s a heartfelt journey with the Lord, symbolising His visit to all His devotees,” said a representative of ISKCON Chennai ECR Temple.
