Toastmasters and Yoodli: AI meets public speaking
Share on WhatsappShare on Facebook

Toastmasters International (TMI) has partnered with Yoodli, an AI-powered speech coach, to provide members with almost instantaneous speech feedback. The Yoodli platform complements the Toastmasters education experience by offering insights into how members can improve speeches they record on the platform. Using Yoodli’s analytics, members can see how much eye contact they made while speaking, how many filler words (such as “ah” and “um”) they used, check if their speaking pace was too fast or too slow, and even whether their vocabulary could be replaced with more inclusive language. Such data points empower members to polish their speeches before presenting them to a human audience for feedback.

Vidhya Boopalan, former Division-F Director and Vice President – Education at TMI at East Coast said, “We are very excited with the Toastmasters International and Yoodli’s partnership as it helps our members at TMI at East Coast to utilise the power of artificial intelligence and speech pattern recognition in analysing their prepared speeches to improve their communication skills.
