Vidya Ratna P.T.S Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sastri Nagar, celebrated its silver jubilee on Jan.11, at Kamarajar Arangam in the presence of chief guests – V. Nandakumar, IRS, and former Justice Dr P.Jyothimani.
Apart from the spectacular cultural events, the chief guests awarded the school toppers of all the subjects and achievers of various events with awards. They honoured the dedicated teachers too, who have played a major role in shaping the student community. The chief guest told the students that even the impossible can be made possible and our handicaps can be turned into stepping stones if we set our eyes on achieving.
Dr Jyothimani, spoke on the silent and salient role of parents in shaping children and the duty of everyone to give back to society.
V.Nandakumar released the silver jubilee souvenir, which contained the work of the students and the accomplishments of the school in 25 years. Dr Jyothimani received the first copy of the souvenir. The school can be contacted at 24902406.
