Samskrita Bharati hosts Graduation ceremony

Samskrita Bharati (SB), Adyar, held its Graduation Day function on Mar.16, at Gaudiya Mission, Besant Nagar. The event celebrated the achievements of 21 students from the July 2024 batch who successfully completed the 4-Level 2-year correspondence course and the Gita Shikshana Kendra Course.

Chief guest Prabha Prakash, Principal of KSN Senior Secondary School, Thiruvanmiyur, distributed certificates to the proud graduates and addressed an audience of over 40 students and volunteers. A passionate advocate for Sanskrit, she shared her own journey of studying the language from school through graduation and commended the students for their dedication.

Three graduates shared their experiences in Sanskrit, demonstrating their proficiency. Dr. Sri Ramachandran of Gaudiya Mission honoured the guests with a Tulsi garland, marking a memorable conclusion to the event.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
