OMR has grown into a lively musical hub, celebrating diverse rhythms and voices. Last year, FOMRRA’s flagship event OMR 360 set the stage for local talent, blending creativity and community spirit. Riding on that wave, Mini Tiffin, a new band founded by Umesh Deenadayalan of Sholinganallur, wowed a 2000-strong audience at Babaji Vidyasharam with an electrifying live performance.
In December, OhMaRgazhi added a classical touch to OMR’s musical journey, hosting maestros in a regal celebration of tradition and sound.
To further nurture this growing community, FOMRRA launched the Music & Lyrics WhatsApp group (https://music.fomrra.org)—a digital hub where musicians, learners, and fans exchange ideas, discuss ragas, and seek guidance on lyrics and technique. It also connects parents with music tutors and instrument sellers, becoming a one-stop resource for music lovers.
All this energy is now captured in Radio OMR, a curated Spotify playlist featuring 1000+ songs across languages and genres—over three days of nonstop music. It celebrates the soul of OMR and the shared love for melody.Tune in at https://radio.fomrra.org and be part of OMR’s ever-evolving musical journey.
