Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar, celebrated its Annual Day on July 18. The event, marking over 55 years of the school’s service in education, featured Maj Gen R.M. Srinivas, Chief of Staff HQ Dakshin Bharat Area, as the chief guest.

The evening commenced with a prayer song by Class XII student Gowri Chandrasekar, followed by Principal S.Vidyalakshmi’s welcome address and the presentation of the Annual Report detailing the school’s achievements. Alumnus Pravin Shekar (Batch 1992) shared his experiences, and Managing Trustee N. Kumar graced the occasion.
Maj Gen Srinivas lauded the students’ accomplishments and the school’s role in fostering opportunities. He then distributed prizes to meritorious students for their outstanding performance in the Class X and XII board examinations. The ceremony culminated in a vibrant cultural program showcasing students’ talents through classical and contemporary music, English plays, and diverse dance performances.
