Brahma Kumaris, Adyar, on Sept.7, launched ‘Divyangjan Seva,’ a new initiative aimed at empowering and promoting inclusivity for people with disabilities. The campaign was inaugurated with the ceremonial unveiling of specially designed vans for community outreach.
The program will train volunteers to assist and engage with individuals who are hearing-impaired, visually-impaired, and intellectually challenged. The event featured inclusive activities, including a 3D Braille Exhibition and puzzle challenges.
Distinguished guests, including Kalaimamani J. Balasubramanian and Dr. Srimathi Kesan of Space Kidz India, praised the effort and pledged their support. Over the coming weeks, the team will visit 20 institutions in South Chennai, bringing a message of love and dignity to the differently-abled.
