Karate champions from the neighbourhood

Students of Wado Ryu Karate participated in the national level Karate Championship held at Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur District, on Feb.4, and won trophies in various categories. 

The participants were: M.L.Ritesh (1st in Kata and Kumite), C.P.Rahul (1st in Kata and 3rd in Kumite), Trisha Sharma (1st place in Kata), D.Saritha (2nd in Kata), R. Tharini (1st in Kata), R.Dashvanth (2nd in Kata and 1st in Kumite), K.Nagarjun (1st in Kata and 3rd in Kumite), P.Joel Priyan (3rd in Kata and 1st in Kumite), Amrita Udhayakumar (1st in Kata and Kumite), W.Steve Anto (2nd in Kata and Kumite), R.Sanjeev Raj (3rd in Kumite), R. Abhishek Raj (2nd in Kata and 1st in Kumite) respectively.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
