“Storytelling sessions in libraries are more than just fun; they’re crucial for children’s development! These sessions enhance communication skills and expand vocabulary, helping young minds master phonics and spelling. Through engaging stories, children learn grammar and punctuation in a natural and enjoyable way. Plus, storytelling boosts comprehension and nurtures a lifelong love for reading,” explains Renu Chamarty from Scholastic World of English and Beyond. She had on July 6, conducted a story telling session at Anna Centenary Library.
She kept the children and parents engaged in rapt attention during the session. The children were engrossed in the story with the puppet ‘Addie’ and musical instruments, especially the djembe! Scholastic World of English and Beyond Books Early Learning Centre have planned more such programs in the future for children. For further details, contact 98846 02308.
