Additional Registration Slots Opened for Sub-Registrar Offices

Tamil Nadu simplifies public building licensing through online portal

In response to public demand, the Tamilnadu government has announced that additional slots for document registration will be made available on auspicious dates in the month of Aavani. This decision aims to accommodate the high volume of registrations typically seen on these days.

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, which is considered a highly auspicious day, sub-registrar offices will allocate extra registration tokens.

  • Offices with a single sub-registrar will now issue 150 tokens instead of the usual 100.
  • Offices with two sub-registrars will issue 300 tokens instead of 200.

Additionally, 100 high-volume offices will receive an extra 4 tatkal tokens, bringing their total to 16 (12 regular and 4 additional), alongside the increased 150 normal tokens.
