ADF provides education fees for underprivileged children

Appayya Dikshita Foundation (ADF), Kottivakkam, as part of its objective of helping deserving underprivileged students, distributed cheques to beneficiaries for their education .

S.Srinivasan, Advocate, Madras High Court presented the cheques on behalf of the Foundation to the students. Vedic pandit, Nagarajan, received the school fee cheques on behalf of Saicharan (9th Std) and Sai Vishnu (6th Std), student of Sree Venkateswara Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Royapettah. ADF, also helped Manish Shiva Kumar, with his college fees. He is pursuing PCME course at SSMRV PU College, Bangalore.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
