Auto driver honoured for his efforts in Greenery

Kottivakkam resident M.Kubendiran was on May 13 honoured by the Rotary Club of Madras Coromandel with the Social Influencer Award. He was awarded by the club’s representatives: Rtn.S.Krishnaswami – District Governor (1989-90), Rtn.K.Ramesh Ananth – President, Rtn.Karthik Narayanan – Director for Vocational Service, Rtn.A.P.Rahul Kumar – Secretary.

He was given the award for, “Propagating environmental care and concern with a mini garden in his auto; Inspiring the public through thought-provoking slogans on his auto; promoting organ donation by setting a personal example; Sustaining monthly contribution for the physically challenged; Promoting reading habit amongst his customers through the mini library in his auto; winning accolades from DGP Sylendra Babu for donating plants to the public from his earnings; Delighting his customers way beyond their expectations; being a role model for others to emulate both in his profession and outside.”
