Beach cleanup on Madras Day

On the occasion of Madras Day, Swiggy, the food delivery platform, organised a beach cleaning drive at Elliots Beach in partnership with Bhumi, a city-based NGO.

Around 100 delivery executives of Swiggy participated in the event for a cleaner and greener Chennai.

The waste collected was segregated by weight as well as recyclability and handed over to the local municipal authority for disposal and recycling as appropriate, ensuring end-to-end clean up. 

The beach cleaning effort was followed by breakfast and refreshments for the volunteering Swiggy delivery executives and local team members.
