Champs win medals at ISF World Championships

Four neighbourhood students from OMR Taekwondo Academy have won silver medals in Taekwondo at the ISF World Championships (Youth Olympics) held in Serbia from Apr.4 to 14. The event competed with 500 participants from 15 countries, including the USA, Russia, China, and the UK. 

The students – Pranav, Rithvik, Sushani, and Srivasan, showcased their skills in sparring. Coach Udhayakumar and Master R. Venkatesan from OMR Taekwondo Academy played a major role in their success. The Taekwondo Association Tamil Nadu secretary, Siddeshwaran, provided valuable information and assistance. The students received support of Rs. 2.5 lakhs each from Deputy CM and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to participate in the event

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
