Deepa’s performance is commendable as this is Deepa’s first year in the U-13 girls category and she defeated the top 3 seeded players on her way to clinching the championship.

Earlier in June 2024, she won the Southern Slam Squash Open, Chennai, in the U-13 girls category.

Deepa is coached by Vinoth Kumar, Solomon and Santhosh at the academy. She comes from a humble background and her family does not have the means to support her financially to play the sport. Smasher Sports Academy, Hudson and Smasher members have sponsored her squash coaching classes, sports accessories (racket, shoes, and clothes) and tournament fees/travel for the last 3 years.

The academy provides squash coaching for all levels. To book a trial class, call 63746 62761. They also have international facilities and coaches for football, squash, badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, Krav Maga, karate etc.
