CURI Hospital’s ‘Check – Care – Conquer’ Campaign Raises Prostate Health Awareness

CURI Hospital, OMR, successfully concluded its unique ‘Check – Care – Conquer: Know Your Prostate & Own Your Health’ campaign. The initiative combined fitness, education, and free screenings to raise awareness about prostate cancer and overall prostate health. The event also marked the milestone of over 1000 robotic surgeries completed at the hospital.

The campaign kicked off with a Movement Magic fitness session by ‘The Quad’. Participants, including patients and fitness enthusiasts, benefited from free prostate health screenings and informative sessions led by the Urology team.

Dr. P.B. Sivaraman, Chairman, and Dr. Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman, Director of Robotic Surgery, headed the educational session. Topics covered included the importance of early detection, surveillance, treatment options like robotic surgery, and the latest non-surgical treatments such as water vapour therapy for benign prostate hyperplasia. The hospital also inaugurated an online physiotherapy session to extend care to patients’ doorsteps. The campaign concluded with a healthy breakfast and one-on-one interactions between patients and the urology team.
