Dr.TVG honoured by Ekatvam

Ekatvam, an initiative of Entrust Foundation, celebrated the 95th birth anniversary of violin maestro Sangita Kalanidhi Prof.T.N.Krishnan on Oct.6 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. The celebrations were followed by the T.N.Krishnan Memorial Award function with R.K.Raghavan, IPS (Retd.), former Director (CBI) as the chief guest; N.Ravi – Director – The Hindu Group, Kalaimamani Nandini Ramani, and Cleveland V.V.Sundaram as guests of honour. 

Sangita Kalanidhi Dr.T.V.Gopalakrishnan was presented with the ‘Sangita Kalanidhi T.N.Krishnan Memorial Award’. Violinist H.N.Bhaskar was presented with the ‘Sangita Kalanidhi T.N. Krishnan Award Of Excellence’. Rajmohan Krishnan – Ekatvam’s Managing Trustee, Dr.Thiruvarur Bhakthavathsalam – Chairman of Awards Committee, Rajnarayanan Krishnan – Jt.Secy Ekatvam were present at the event. The award function was followed by a vocal concert by Dr.T.V.Gopalakrishnan.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
