NIEPMD conducts international conference with IIT Madras

NIEPMD in collaboration with IIT Madras also organised a 3-days international conference – Empower 2023 (CRE Accredited by Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi) from Oct.5 – 7, at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai.

This CRE programme was conducted to strengthen the expertise and experience of the professionals to render the best possible services towards empowering persons with disabilities. Eminent speakers in the field of assistive devices and disabilities were invited from different countries for this conference. Around 530 participants from different countries have participated in this conference; in that, 68 are RCI Registered Professionals.

The coordinator of this programme was Dr.S.Santhosh Kanna, Lecturer, Physiotherapy, NIEPMD.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
