The Indra Nagar Women’s Association hosted its ‘Aadippattam’ program on July 28, featuring a talk on terrace gardening and home cultivation of plants and vegetables. The event was led by M. Elango, Deputy Director of the Tamil Nadu Department of Horticulture.
Mr. Elango delivered a speech on the importance and techniques of terrace gardening. Following the talk, the Horticulture Department set up a stall to sell various gardening essentials, including pots, gardening tools, and vegetable seeds and saplings, vermicompost, grow boxes, and soil.
Beneficiaries who registered with their Aadhaar number were provided with a vegetable seed kit. The event successfully promoted gardening and provided the community with the resources to begin their own green initiatives.
