Kannadigara Koota, Besant Nagar, a 52 year old Kannada Association, celebrated Vinyagar Chaturthi at the premises of Mandram Hall, Alwarpet on Sep.8 with a sizeable participation.
Pooja, followed by divine songs, prayers propitiating Lord Vinayaka and divine chanting by the members, was the highlight of the program. Kannadigara Koota is one of the oldest Kannada Sanghas in Chennai, started in 1972 with the main intention of keeping in touch with the Kannada language, people and culture. The Koota has spearheaded organising various cultural & art programs, painting competitions and self-development seminars, fun trips and fitness activities over the past five decades.
