KB Park Shuttlers hosts thrilling team battle tournament

On Mar.23, KB Park Shuttlers hosted an electrifying five-hour tournament at Speedy Indoors, Kottivakkam, featuring 32 skilled players across four teams. After an intense round-robin competition, Dark Light Warriors, led by Yogesh, emerged victorious, while Shuttlers United, led by Varun, secured the runner-up title.

The unique format, spanning ages 7 to 60, featured open doubles, 70+ doubles, under 50 doubles, singles + doubles relay, and singles relay matches, played up to 21 and 25 points. Captains were elected democratically, and players were auctioned, adding strategy and excitement.

The final battle saw Dark Light Warriors edge past Shuttlers United with a 14-13 win. Other teams, KB Royal Challengers and Super Kings, also delivered fierce performances. Murali, the chief referee, ensured smooth execution, while the KBPS administration team handled match arrangements.

The event also marked the launch of the club’s official T-shirt, symbolising unity. With enthusiastic support from the Adyar PickleBall Club, the tournament celebrated both sport and community. For more details, contact 98413 97612, 98840 04215.
