The Aadhaar card was introduced by the Indian government in 2009. The card is helpful for all to avail of government benefits and access various government and non-government services. The Aadhar card has to be updated once every 10 years. Even if there is no change to the card, users must keep their bio-metrics updated to avoid hindrance to the benefits received.
Usually, any change to the Aadhar card invites monetary cost. However, to encourage the public to update their details, the government has offered certain services free of cost, until June 14. The public can update their address and other documents online at www.https://uidai.gov.in/. The change in mobile number alone needs to be done at an Aadhar centre. Check the details of your nearest Aadhar centre at https://bhuvan-app3.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar/.
