Madras Cosmopolitan Ladies Circle 38 has donated ₹45,000 to the NGO River, to support the daily distribution of specially made buns for pediatric cancer patients at the Cancer Institute, over a period of 18 days. The buns are produced by the transgender community, ensuring a cost-to-cost arrangement for this charitable cause.

This initiative was originally launched by the late Dr. Shantha and Madhu (Founder of River, an NGO dedicated to the empowerment of women).
