The Metro Connect Service, a last-mile connectivity solution by CMRL, was launched on July 22, at several IT Parks across Chennai. This innovative solution helps to streamline transportation for city commuters by providing last-mile connectivity services from their workplace to the nearest Metro Station.

As part of this initiative, CMRL has now collaborated with M/s Capitaland Investments and M/s New Travel Liines to provide two Air-conditioned Tempo Travellers between Little Mount Metro Station and International Tech Park (ITPC) (formerly known as Ascendas), Taramani, to provide the Metro Connect Service.

City Head (Chennai Operations) of CapitaLand Investments, Gopinath Mallya – Chief Advisor (Operation and Maintenance) of CMRL, S.Satheesh Prabhu – AGM (RS&O) of CMRL, and other senior officials of CMRL, Capitaland Investments and New Travel Liines staff.

About the Route:

The route will cover approximately 6-km one-way, shuttling between ITPC and Little Mount Metro Station, with an estimated travel time of 25 to 30 minutes, subject to road traffic conditions.

These Metro Connect vehicles are available from Monday to Friday, service timings are tentatively set from 8:30 am to 1 pm in the morning and 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the evening, subject to adjustments based on demand.

How to Avail the Service:

Commuters can avail this convenient and affordable service at a cost of Rs.50 per ride through the G-TAXIE mobile application, accessible on both iOS and Android platforms. The mobile application allows users to buy tickets, track the vehicle for planning rides, and view live location/estimated time of arrival of the trips.

Good initiative till ascendas. But most importantly pls make a note that TRIL RAMANUJAN IT CITY passengers are lot more compared to ascendas. We only depend on S98 mini bus which doesn’t come on time. Pls make a good initiative which handles tril employees too.
