The Inner Wheel Club of Adyar, an international women’s organisation dedicated to service and friendship, celebrated the installation of its 39th President, Shanthi Jayaraman, and her new team in a grand ceremony on July 8 at the Gandhi Nagar Club, Adyar.
The new team includes Chitra Devi (Vice President), Raji Venkatesh (Secretary), Dr. Meera Suresh (Treasurer), Chitra Kannan (ISO), and Nivedita Kannan (Editor).
The event’s chief guest, K. Santhakumari, Advocate at the Madras High Court, delivered a powerful address on women’s rights. She lauded the club’s activities and underscored the importance of women’s rights within family life, providing extensive awareness on the roles of men and women in society. Her speech was received with rapt attention by the audience.
The Inner Wheel Club of Adyar announced its readiness to undertake new projects focused on assisting underprivileged and needy individuals from all walks of life in the upcoming year.
