The government has announced that monthly public grievance camps will be held in every zone across Tamil Nadu to ensure citizens can easily access the benefits of the Public Distribution System (PDS).

Accordingly, the monthly PDS grievance camp for September 2025 will be held on September 13, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm, at the 19 Zonal Assistant Commissioner offices of the Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Protection in Chennai.

Residents can use this camp to avail themselves of various PDS-related services, including adding or removing names from family cards, changing addresses, and registering or updating mobile numbers. Additionally, authorization certificates will be issued to senior citizens who are unable to visit ration shops in person.

The public can also lodge complaints about the functioning of PDS shops or any defects in goods or services sold in private markets. Authorities have stated that all grievances will be addressed swiftly. Family cardholders in Chennai’s 19 zones are encouraged to make use of this service.
