Sri Sankara Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur celebrated Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Peetarohana Swarna Jayanthi award function and inauguration of Tamil Literary Association on July 13, presided over by alumnus Dr. T.Karthieyan.
Toppers of board examination of class X, XI and XII were honoured. Scholarships and free uniforms were distributed by the management to the students. This was followed by speeches and cultural events. The mono-acting of Avaiyar and Lord Murugan by students of class 6 captivated the audience. This function motivated other young minds to reach various heights in their life.
