Neighbourhood archers win championship

Students of St. Michael’s Academy took part in the CICSE Regional Archery Championship 2024, held at Karur and secured the following places:

  • K. Srinidhi won the Gold medal and also the overall championship in the U-19 Girls category;
  • M.L. Ritesh won the Bronze medal in the U-17 Boys’ compound bow category

The students were trained by Coach S.Vikram. This is the fourth consecutive year that the children have been selected for the National Archery Championship representing Tamilnadu. The Archery School is at No.15, 4th Main Road, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar. Ph: 98412 57957.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
