In a major boost to early childhood care, two new Anganwadi centres were inaugurated at Kanathur (ECR) and Padur (OMR) — jointly constructed by ExNoRa International Foundation and the Rotary Club of Madras, with generous funding from Aptus Value Housing Finance. Each centre, built at a cost of Rs.22 lakhs, is aimed at supporting the educational and nutritional needs of children in the local communities.
The Anganwadis were reopened by L.Idhayavarman, Chairman, Thiruporur Panchayat Union, who highlighted the challenges overcome in securing land for the centres. Panchayat presidents Valli Ettiyappan (Kanathur) and Thara Sudhaar (Padur) were present at the ceremony.
ExNoRa International Foundation, represented by its President, S. Senthur Pari, served as the associate partner in this initiative. From the Rotary Club, Saravanan and Vanitha Shetty participated, alongside M.Anandhan of Aptus, who felicitated contributors. Somasundaram donated chairs, while other well-wishers provided clothes and stationery for the children.
