The Obul Reddy Senior Citizen Home, a unit of the Andhra Mahila Sabha in R.A. Puram, celebrated its annual Elders Day with great enthusiasm and joy, on Oct.17
The highlight of the event was a lively session of games designed for the residents and staff members, including the housekeeping team. Nearly 100 participants enjoyed fun challenges like the Memory Game, dropping coins in a bucket, Kolam competition, guessing chocolates and groundnuts in a bottle, Drawing from Scribble, musical chairs, and bindi sticking after blindfolding. Prizes were distributed to the winners, and all residents received their yearly utility gifts.
The celebration was made brighter by Aarohi, a group of professional musicians who entertained the gathering with classic old songs in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The event was graced by Dr. Padma Venkataraman, President of the Women’s Indian Association (WIA), who attended as the chief guest.
