OMR Taekwondo Academy dominates district championship

The Chennai Taekwondo Defence Association successfully organised the District Taekwondo Championship on June 28 at ICF Palanisamy Multi Sports Hall, Konnur.

The event, inaugurated by esteemed guests including Arjuna awardee  Sebastian Xavier and TAT General Secretary K.R. Siddeshwaran, saw enthusiastic participation from 420 players (258 boys, 162 girls) across 18 clubs, competing in both poomsae and kyorugi events.

OMR Taekwondo Academy emerged as the standout performer. Their 60 participants secured a total of 48 medals, comprising 24 Gold, 8 Silver, and 16 Bronze. This impressive medal tally also earned OMR Taekwondo Academy the Overall Championship Trophy for winning the maximum number of gold medals.
