Here are a few glimpses of how the neighbourhood celebrated Onam this year:

Besant Nagar’s Sri Varashiddhi Vinayagar Temple, a centre of divinity, arts, and culture, was beautifully adorned with fresh flowers and colourful lights for Onam, creating a divine atmosphere for all devotees.
Sri Venkateshwara Montessori Teachers Training Institute, Thiruvanmiyur, celebrated Onam and Teachers’ Day on September 5th with a day of vibrant cultural programs and games for their trainees. Admissions for the new batch on Vijaya Dashami are now open. Ph: 99627 41608, 98656 11131 (Centre Head – Gayathri).
Residents of Plutus Residence on LB Road celebrated Onam 2025 with traditional fervour. The celebration featured children dressed as Mahabali, devotional songs, a graceful Kaikottukali dance by women in traditional attire, and a vibrant Pookalam. The event brought the community together in a spirit of oneness and unity.
Members of the Indira Nagar Women’s Association celebrated Onam on Sept.9 with traditional fervor. The event featured a graceful Kaikottikali dance, devotional songs, a discourse on Onam, and a quiz, culminating in a delicious Onam Sadhya.
