Parampara sets up Tulasi vanam at Cancer Institute

Parampara, an organisation involved in creating awareness regarding the importance of Tulasi, revived the Tulasi Vanam at Adyar Cancer Institute on Aug.2. Dr.Kalpana Balakrishnan, Associate Director of the institute inaugurated the vanam by planting Tulsi saplings.

Dr.M.V.Vishwanathan former CSIR Scientist explained the medicinal importance of Tulasi plants and its role on mental and physical health. Tulasi plants were distributed to the patients and the visitors with a mention of its medicinal importance. Parampara has been building Tulasi Vrindavanams at many temples, schools and communities in Chennai as part of their Tulasi Vrindavan Movement.
