Anna Road Head Post Office Philatelic Bureau, Chennai 600 002 is organising Philately Summer Camps at Anna Road HPO campus during the month of May 2024 with the aim of instilling the young minds to kick start the hobby of Philately. 

During the camp, students will get introduced to Philately, learn to prepare Philatelic exhibits, improve their letter writing and communication skills and also get to know the functions of a Post Office. Eminent Philatelists will take sessions and share their experiences with the students.

Interested Students of classes 6 to 9 may enroll for this camp by paying a Registration fee of Rs.250 per individual in cash. A Philately Deposit Account will be opened for the child with the amount. Three batches of 25 students. Classes will be from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. Batch 1: May 10 and 11; Batch 2: May 17 and 18; Batch 3: May 24 and 25. 

The entry will be based on a first come first serve. For enrolling / clarifications, contact 94449 33467, 98848 32872, or 99529 65458 from 10 am to 3 pm on working days. A certificate of participation will be given to all the students on completion of the sessions.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
