The Battle of Kursk was a major World War II eastern front large-scale engagement between the forces of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It happened near Kursk in southwestern Russia during the late summer of 1943 and ultimately became the largest tank battle in history and resulted in a Soviet victory.

In commemoration of the above, a photo exhibition has been organised at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, Alwarpet. The exhibition is open to the public on all working days, till Aug.31. Entry Free.
