Pongal celebrations with conservancy workers

The Councillors of Ward 179 and 180, J.Kayalvizhi and Visalakshi Kapilan, celebrated pongal with the conservancy staff, at the Community Hall at Kuppam Beach Road, Thiruvanmiyur. 

Nearly 175 conservancy staff participated in dancing and singing and were given presents sponsored by Councillor J.Kayalvizhi. The food was sponsored by J.M.H.Hassan Moulana – MLA (Velachery).

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
