Rotary Community Corps honours 10th and 12th Grade achievers

The Rotary Community Corps organised a commendation ceremony to honour students who excelled in their 10th and 12th grade public examinations.

The event was chaired by V. Gobi, President of the Rotary Club of Bluewells, with Secretary M.V. Sundar welcoming the gathering. J. Shanti Rajkumar, Chairman of Rotary Community Corps 3234, served as the guest of honour.

Among the special guests who presented prizes to the successful students were Old Washermenpet Police Inspector Rajaram, Adyar Shastri Nagar Police Inspector Durga Devi, Velachery Police Crime Inspector Thangaraj Chamundeswari, M. Pushpa, Rotary Green City Guide alias S.M. Balasubramanian, Rotary Green City Chairman Leeladevi, and Rotary Club Blues Advisor Rajaratnam.

At the ceremony’s conclusion, Giridar Catering Service provided refreshments including snacks, fruit juice, peanut chickpeas, steamed tuber, and herbal tea.

Adyar Times was established in Chennai in the year 1993, founded by Mr.S.P.Ambrose, IAS (Retd.). The concept of a newspaper for the neighbourhood was a novel idea then. The English weekly (Sunday) now boasts a circulation of 42000 copies with an average of 16 pages per issue.
