Sanskrit scholars felicitated on Sanskrit Day
Share on WhatsappShare on Facebook

Aug.19 is celebrated as Sanskrit Day. On the occasion, 10 volunteers of Adyar Samskrita Bharati were invited to attend an event organised by Raj Bhavan. The function was well attended by more than 500 guests.

Governor R.N.Ravi hailed the efforts of Samskrita Bharati and said that the language is crucial to understanding Bharat and Bhartiyata. “Ancient Sanskrit literature are repositories of the priceless wisdom of Bharat. It is perhaps the most scientific language. At a time when the frontiers of technologies like Generative Artificial Intelligence are rushing forward towards super-intelligent human-like machines and raising existential and ethical concerns, Sanskrit should be helpful in steering a purposeful discourse towards a sustainable global future,” he added.
