Smiles & Idols: Dr. Daya Shree’s Divine Collection of 100’s of Vinayagar’s at her Thiruvanmiyur Clinic
Share on WhatsappShare on Facebook

In Thiruvanmiyur, Dr. Daya Shree of Sara Dental Care has nurtured a heartfelt tradition that blends professional care with spiritual devotion. A practicing dentist for 29 years, she is known not only for brightening smiles but also for her extraordinary collection of over 800 Vinayagar idols.

What began as a simple act of faith has grown into a dazzling display of Ganesha figurines—ranging from 1-inch clay models to 3-foot brass and stone statues. Her collection includes eco-friendly designs, elegant wooden carvings, and vibrant contemporary renditions, each reflecting the rich diversity of Indian artistry and culture.

Every Vinayagar Chathurthi, Dr. Daya Shree opens her doors to friends, patients, and neighbours, inviting them to admire the breathtaking arrangement that fills her clinic with colour, warmth, and blessings.

Beyond her devotion, she also extends dental care to homebound patients – those unable to visit clinics due to physical, cognitive, or medical challenges. Her initiative ensures they receive essential preventive and therapeutic treatments in the comfort of their homes.

Dr. Daya Shree’s practice stands as a beacon of compassion, where healing meets tradition and every smile is touched by grace. The display can be viewed till Sept.10 at Ramaniyam Shivani Block 1, No. 40, East Coast Road, Near RTO, Thiruvanmiyur.
