Sriramanavami celebrations at Hare Krishna Movement

Hare Krishna Movement, Thiruvanmiyur, celebrated Sriramanavami on Apr.17. The highlight of the celebration was the ‘Sri Rama Aishwaryam, under which a set of cultural activities were performed to celebrate the six opulence of Lord Rama. “The six opulence of Lord Rama as mentioned in the revealed scriptures are knowledge, strength, beauty, fame, renunciation and riches,” explained the institution. 

Devotees presented a classical song with selected verses from the Kishkindha Kanda of Ramayana, presented a set of paintings depicting the Lord’s opulence of strength, poems glorifying Lord Rama’s beauty, conducted a panel discussion on Lord Rama’s opulence of renunciation, performed a classical dance to the song ‘Sita Kalyana Vaibhogame’, participated in the Rama Taraka homa etc.
